Composition

The design is based on the principle of opposite and complementary forms, rooted in Euclidean geometry. Two buildings are generated as inverse figures — triangles and trapezoids — creating a strong dialogue between presence and absence, solid and void. This geometric relationship shapes the overall composition: the volumes define a central plaza as the core of the project, while circulation flows and entrances are aligned with the underlying order. Sectional studies reveal how the layered forms produce both covered and open spaces, reinforcing the duality of the concept. In this way, abstract geometric oppositions are transformed into an architectural language of balance, contrast, and spatial clarity.

Τechnical details and materials

The choice of materials reinforces the geometric clarity of the design while creating a dialogue between solidity and transparency. Exposed concrete expresses structural strength and permanence, while wooden cladding adds warmth and a tactile human scale to the composition. Glass facades introduce lightness and transparency, allowing natural light to penetrate deep into the interior spaces and strengthening the visual connection with the central plaza. In selected areas, metal sun-shading louvers regulate light and enhance energy performance, while green elements such as climbing and cascading plants soften the architectural volumes and integrate the buildings with the landscape. Together, these materials create a balance between robustness, warmth, and openness, supporting the concept of contrast and complementarity that defines the project.
